GENERAL DESCRIPTION
PPD-212 series is an organic, oil soluble chemical formulation for use as a flow improver/pour point depressant and paraffin inhibitor for waxy crude oils and heavy fuel oils. It performs by modifying the size and shape of wax crystals during their formation when temperature is reduced, thus considerably improving the cold flow properties and depressing the pour point of paraffinic crude oils and heavy fuel oils.
Chemically a high molecular weight copolymer, this product is effective in reducing the congealing and deposition tendency of paraffinic crudes and facilitate production, transportation and handling of such crudes under reduced temperatures. The application of this product can reduce paraffin deposition in production facilities, and reduce needs for heating or special handling during transportation, loading and offloading of waxy crudes.
PPD-212N11 is specially formulated and is suitable for paraffin control applications on gas lift wells.
